Audit Trail and Reporting
Searching the Audit Trail
This document provides details surrounding how to view previously performed searches, run standard reports and download data extracts. A search/report/data extract can be a maximum of 90 days.
The Reporting suite is located within the Administration site: https://www.id3global.com/GlobalAdmin/
Search
1. In order to access the Reports click on the Reports tie (highlighted below)
2. The first step is to click on the start range box which will present the calendar, from this select the start date. Please note it is not necessary to input the End Date. Press Done once the date is selected
3. In addition to searching between 2 dates the Search functionality allows different parameters to be searched upon (see image below)
a. All – All data contained between the dates
b. Authentication ID — system generated transactional Identifier (32 characters long)
c. Customer Reference – a reference specified by the user to help track the transaction within the audit trail
d. Band Text – data which has a specific decision band (configured in the Risk Profile) e.g. PASS
e. Profile ID – system generated identifier for the Risk profile (32 characters long)
f. Profile Name – the name of the Risk Profile e.g. UK Identity Checks
g. Profile State – the profile lifecycle state of the profile e.g. Test, Effective
h. Chain ID – When a Risk profile has Re-Authentication enabled then a Chain ID is assigned so if multiple transactions are performed then they can be linked to each other
4. When the Go button is clicked then the audit trail will be returned
The results that can be navigated through the panel at the bottom and then records can be viewed when clicked on.
Data Extracts
A Data Extract contains the Input and Result data for every transaction, this is extracted into a Tab Seperated File which can be read in Notepad or Excel.
Once the Search results have been returned then a data extract can be created and downloaded
1. To run an extract (after a search has been made)
a. Click Create Extract
b. Open or save to a specific location.
Reports
Reports provides the ability to return a number of pre-defined reports:
Report by User – The amount of transactions performed by a user
Report by Profile Name – The amount of transactions performed against the Profile(s)
Report by Score – Transactions counted by the score achieved
Report by Decision Band – A count of transactions that return certain Decision Bands
Report by Item Check – A count of transactions performed against each item check
Report by Result Codes – A count of Result Codes returned
1. Reports work by searching between 2 dates, however unlike searching the audit trail an end is required
2. This will then produce a report that details the requested information, below is an example of “Report by Profile Name”
